These terms apply to the Octopus Social Marketplace app and website (the "Service"), operated by Octopus for Computer Programming W.L.L, CR 160062-1, Kingdom of Bahrain. By using the Service you agree to them.
1. What Octopus is
Octopus is a marketplace that connects customers with independent local stores (suppliers), service providers and event hosts ("vendors"). Vendors sell their own products, services and tickets and are responsible for them, including their description, price, quality and delivery.
2. Your account
- Give accurate information and keep your password safe. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Vendors may be asked to verify their identity before selling or receiving payouts.
- We may suspend accounts that break these terms or the law.
3. Orders, bookings and tickets
- Prices are shown in Bahraini Dinars (BHD). Delivery fees and any applicable taxes are shown before you confirm.
- An order, booking or ticket is confirmed when the vendor accepts it and, where required, payment is completed.
- Cancellations, refunds and changes follow the vendor's policy shown in the app and applicable Bahraini consumer law. If a vendor cancels, or does not deliver what you paid for, you get a full refund. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 14 days.
4. Vendors
- Vendors must only list items and services they are allowed to sell, describe them honestly, and fulfil accepted orders and bookings.
- Fees charged by Octopus to vendors are shown to vendors in the app and in the vendor agreement before they start selling.
5. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Service: no illegal, harmful or misleading content, no fake reviews, no attempts to access other people's data or disrupt the Service.
6. Content you post
You keep ownership of photos, reviews and other content you post, and give Octopus permission to display it on the Service. You confirm you have the right to post it.
7. Liability
We work to keep the Service available and accurate but cannot guarantee it will always be error-free. To the extent allowed by law, Octopus is not responsible for products, services or events provided by vendors.
8. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will post the new version here. These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
